HALLOWEEN IS HEREEEEEEEEEEEE [ALMOST!]

Giovanni: What is that?

Anjelyc: It's a costume for halloween!

Giovanni:  Um, what are you supposed to be?

Anjelyc: Duh babe, an Angel

Giovanni: are angel's skirts that short?

Anjelyc: ummmmmm.....

Hey...who says costumes can't be smexy!?  It is no secret to those that know me that I LOVE Halloween!  I have accumulated a bunch of costumes in SL thus far, and I have ideas for about 2 or 3 more.  It's insane, I know it and you know it but there it is I can't help it!  This particular beauty is from [paper.doll] and I <3 that store sooo much Zoey makes clothes that are just downright fun!  Colorful and sexy works so well when i'm in my sassy moods.  She's got more costumes, and I'm hoping that I can get pictures in as many as possible so that you all can check em out.  There's a lady cop one thats all shorty shorts and cleavage mega hawt, and a pretty goddess one with laces for your legs. Ummm a victim one with a blood soaked dress and a knife sticking out of your abdomen which is awesome, I so want that one.  There's also a ladybug, an Alice in Wonderland-ish one, and a few more.  Want to know what they are? Take your toosh down there and check it out!  Zoey is also working on some great new designs that I shamefully nagged her about *LOL*.  I can't wait to see the end result though! Yippeeeeee

The next lil photo is a fun little thing I put together from Shocktoberfest and an amazing freebie from Glitterati Poses.  The outfit is a costume from ((TASTY)) and is one of the free items you can grab while going through the haunted house type situation at the Carnival of Carnage.  It's pretty neat, I was playing 'Name that Movie' while I walked through and grabbed prizes.  The coffin, candle and skull are all props that come with the Glitterati pose which was totally free and Katey really rocks! 

Okay, how scary is this picture? LOL I tinkered with my MultiTool HUD and put on angry face and had at it!  I also used the coffin again, although it isn't very evident in the picture itself.  I wanted an up close picture of the Killer Candy Corn *rawr* for all to see.  These lil guys are made by {Just a Pose} and there is a num num, a shoulder pet and a hair candy.  Being the over-doer that I am, I put all three on for the pic.  I like it tho, it says i'm crazy and i'm not afraid to over accessorize!  The hair is from 3636 and the outfit, which isn't very well shown here is a fall jumper from M Motion for a mere 5L$.

And finally, my last but not least outfit yay!  This trendy lil dress is from .magoa. and it comes in 3 colors for Shocktoberfest.  I put my Magika hair on because I have been looking for an awesome time to wear my 'Blind' hair hehe.  So being that it's halloween time and I needed to add some creepy to the cute, I wore my CStar Skin.  It was a subscriber freebie, and since I am a member of almost every subscribe-o-matic in SL yep, I got it!  Of course, this picture also has 'The Coffin' by Glitterati.  All in all I think it was a successful shopping-slash-hunt day!  I hope you all check out paper.doll and the wonderful costumes.  Don't forget to swing by Shocktoberfest: Carnival of Carnage!  It's on until November 1st and really can freak out your eyes if you let it!

I went shopping!

What can I tell ya? Sometimes the mood hits you and ya must go spend some lindens. I tp'd to The Dressing Room, the deals there I luv it! I've got maybe 3 or 4 skins so far, and some great Baiastice outfits...ummmm some [glow.] makeup layers also mhm very cool. Yesterday I got a notecard from CHANTKARE and decided to stop on over there and check out the goods. There was this omg-so-cute sweater dress that came in 3 colors. And I debated the color for about 10 minutes, i'm so indecisive. I settled finally on the red, and then scanned the room some more and saw this Ming Jacket which I liked so I got, and the matching bracelets that were in the picture and on the shelf as well lol. Check out my boots!  Love em, they're so delish it's ridiculous.  They're from Sim-I-Lar Footwear and the prices in that place will make you cry and buy!  Amazing quality and great pricing, can't go wrong!!  I have lm's if anyone ever needs them lol.  Ok, so my hair I got at Hair fair, its by Calico Ingmann and then I rocked my eStyle skin because I love them for so many occasions.  The skirt is from COCO, I got it for my bday/rez day  from my stalk-ee...the loverly Aeris lol.  The pose in the picture is by NSA - No Strings Attached and the pose pack is called Whimsy.  If you haven't checked this pose store out yet, you MUST.  She makes some amazing poses and props also, so cute. The other is a walk I caught in mid-stride by Posies.

Ok, I got sidetracked...back to The Dressing Room!  So, I was having the most difficult time teleporting in the history of me on SL.  I was sooo frustrated, it was incredible.  Couldn't go anywhere!  After a bit, I tried again and was able to get into the Dressing Room.  Mind you, I was in the one that didn't have what I came to buy, but of course I wanted stuff there too lol.  15 minutes later, I was able to tp over to the one I usually go to and I got the new Baiastice outfit which is super cute but I still haven't found shoes I like to wear it with so I digress hehe, no pic yet.  I did, however see a totally adorable *Fishy Strawberry* sweater, which I snatched up and rocked with my CM jeans.  Like them?  Lemme know!  I'll tell u how to get them, they're as yet unreleased so you will be the only one of your friends to own them :D unless of course, one of your friends is moi.

The Call for Couture 2010

The time is here!  The most fashionable creations are displayed for all of SL, and gathered in one place to admire and adore.  Top designers have come together, worked their pixels off and put together some of the most amazing clothing, accessories, and skins that will be released this year!  This first photo is the wonderful ::PM:: Chloe by Purple Moon, coupled with the elegant Serena Updo by 3636.  To finish the look, I added Jenna skin by *OC* and fab Cobra Boots by Similar Italian Footwear.  The pose is by and is called Automne.  I felt the picture needed a little fun, so in comes [Cynful]'s ready to wear look!  Black and pink, to die for and so fun to wear.  The look includes CStar Skin courtesy of the Think Pink Hunt, Slink Lara Pumps & Magika Gwen Hair.  Sexy shape is by Smexii Shapes and is called Jianisi.  Pose is by Modd.G and is called Lisa.  Two young, exciting looks sure to sweep you off your feet and bid for more!

This little collage was about having some good times.  Basically, I wanted to showcase as many looks as possible because I believe these amazing designers deserve to be celebrated.  There is no limit to the extravagant beauty put forth for all of SL to see, want, need and purchase!!  This photo is featuring -Nemesis- Eternal Love Outfit, with hair by Wasabi Pills and skin by *Just Me* - Kelly.  I also added Queen Earrings by ***Just You*** and a fantastic pose by Pretzel Poses titled 'They call me Rose'.  Also, Bottle Bird has the wonderful Scaley outfit with the Squid jacket.  I added skin by MonS & amazing shoes and hair by MIAMAI.  Fun pose by ..::DARE::.. which I purchased while doing the Seasons Hunt, called 'Not so couture flee'.  I get so ADD while i'm doing hunts.  Back to the picture, ummm ok so next look was alot of fun and reminded me of something I saw on television that I wish I could remember but it was an outfit made out of newspapers.  Maybe it was ANTM...this great dress is the ready to wear outfit from .:Relentless Couture:., and is called the Newsie Gown.  I coupled it with skin by Ooh-la-licious and hair by Berries, Inc.  The boots are another Call for Couture designer, Bottle Bird and they are called ae's boots shown off by a BCA pose by Glitterati in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.  The sweetest lil dress i've seen so far comes from *Fishy Strawberry* and is called the EOS Babydoll.  I added !Imabee's Miranda lashes in Petal and a sweet little hairdo that I thought complimented the look from LoveSoul.  Bringing the look together is a shape from Smexii Shapes called Teash, {Cherry} Ballet Flats and a fab 'Geometry' pose by *Torridwear*.  Hopefully you all agree that it came together nicely!  I am enjoying this event so much, it's a fashion dream as well as being a wonderful way to bring worthy causes to light and do what we can to support them.

These wonderful dresses are sophisticated-sexy and ready to wear be it to the boulevard, the club or the runway!  Sparkle in a Platinum Glitter Dress by :::WRACK::: which pair perfectly with these amazing Pauole Boots in silver by R2.  Had a lil fun with the skin, using a [dekade.] skin called Dahlia that I found at The Dressing Room.  Then to top it off a little Bliss Couture hair and a fav posemaker - Glitterati's Oh yeah i'm hawt pose!  Keeping in line with the cute fun mini dresses, I opted to pair this with .Magoa. Mondriana Dress to which I added my Fhang Candy skin & *eha hair.  R2 is a great shoe store, I have several pairs to date and will undoubtedly add more in the future.  These boots are called Pumehana in the pink color and complimented the pink of Mondriana so well, I think.  My pose of choice is Cover Model by Guilty Sin.

Okay, I found these looks to be the most fun to wear and photograph.  After several different poses apiece, one was picked and added to this blog.  Originally, there weren't supposed to be so many looks in one blog but RL got me behind alot and so I want to showcase all that I can.  The next batch of looks will hopefully be done soon also, because the designers worked so hard so it is my duty to show the public their incredible work.  These particular looks are just so edgy and fun!  The first is from Wild Style and is called 'Outside the Lines'.  I put on one of my newer CStar Skins, MIAMAI hair and Bax Boots and hit the photo studio!  After tedious pose changing I settled on this rockin pose by Modd.G.  [SyS] made some quite interesting fantastical outfits, skins, shoes...everythingggg.  I wanted to make sure every look I did was something the designer would look at and go ... yep, I like the way you put that together chick.  This pret a porter look is Prophetie by [SyS], with Phrophecy Skin and Krome ankle boots also by [SyS].  Added my YunA Hair and a very cool pose by NSA - Fear.  I dunno...I like it!

This beautiful ensemble is Chantkare's LBD Ready to Wear for CfC.  The skirt, the hat...what can I say?  I felt so old hollywood glam in this outfit.  Slipped on one of my favorite heels, Sargento by Sim-I-Lar Italian Footwear.  They truely make one of the most easy to use HUD's for matching skin i've used so far.  My skin is by Glam Affair, and the pose bringing this sophisticated look together is a MIAMAI Elegance Pose.

Last and certainly not least, is Maven Haus.  The new and awesome Haus of Amazing Couture.  I stopped by a few weeks ago and have a few wonderful outfits that I will at some point show off here lol.  During my trip I got Maven Haus' Frostbite Skin, which is included in this photo.  On my feet are my Similar Footwear Tropea Heels and this amazing dress is MH's CfC creation named Noyeb.  I got this crazy amazing hair during Hair Fair 2010 from Vanity Hair's booth.  It is called Up, Up and away and when Gio saw me in it he asked me if it was a hot air balloon.  So, call it a thumbs up on the design! Hehe...ah, and this pose I found at Di's Opera while I was attempting the Rue D'antibes Hunt!  All in all I think the CfC is going very well, I saw some great numbers for the auctioned off one of a kind couture creations and it's only just begun!  Stop by, see the designs and maybe catch a runway show or 2.  I'm telling you, its beautiful and worth the few moments you take out to take a glimpse.  Til next time, lovelies!! xox

Antonio Galloway ~ Start spreading the news!

Several blogs ago, I wrote about a skin store that would change a small piece of my SL.  The next day, a wonderfully crazy woman IM'd me and asked if I ever blog clubs.  I of course, never have but I definitely want to!  I'm working on a blog now for her wonderful club, and she personally asked if I would blog this particular man.  A very talented singer and performer in her club, so I sat down with him and we chatted a bit about life, music, and the craziness of Club Jester!

Anjelyc Morales: ok cool , i must warn you i'm very nosy and if i ramble feel free to shoosh me...could be why i blog and write

Anjelyc Morales: ooh nice thanks! my first question is how you began singing? not necessarily in SL but in general

Antonio Galloway: is it too early to shoosh you?

Antonio Galloway: Well.... i started singing way back when I was in kindergarten. My music teacher gave me a solo in a school play. She said I had poise and heard me singing into a hairbrush so she started me young. lol Then I sang in school all through grade school and high school having solos. Also sang in the churches and one thing led to another and eventually started getting requests to sing around the area.

Anjelyc Morales: oh how neat, I used to sing in school also but I don't really do it too much anymore - except for my son lol; Do you have professional RL experience?  Or just more of a regular type school & church background

Antonio Galloway: Well.... i started singing way back when I was in kindergarten. My music teacher gave me a solo in a school play. Anjelyc Morales: Oh nice, do you know Wayne Newton?!

Antonio Galloway: hahahaha Actually..... no but used to work across the street from his mansion in Vegas.

Anjelyc Morales: That's how my father began singing and still to this day sings, very soulful, those gospel singers

Antonio Galloway: Its a wonderful training ground.

Anjelyc Morales: Nice...so according to Twilight, you are a 'Rat Pack' singer. Is there any particular reason that genre speaks to you the most?

Antonio Galloway: Many reasons. The first is, I grew up with that music. I came from an Italian family and we lived in Dean Martin's hometown so... we always had the music of Dean and Frank as the background for so many of my memories growing up. SO many of their songs trigger events that happened. It's funny but those songs have a place in my heart. They are "home" to me. I always loved the way the guys have fun, and were so cool. I admired them a great deal and when I grew up moved to Las Vegas where the Rat Pack called home.

Anjelyc Morales: Oh how neat, I grew up around alot of Italian families lol...do you ever sing outside the genre? Or do you tend to stick to it for the most part

Antonio Galloway: I tend to stay within the genre for the most part.... however.... I was classically trained in opera so... I can hear my music teacher in the back of my head at times telling me to expand. lol So, I do throw in songs from musicals, some more contemporary things as well and some Elvis tunes along the way. I try and have fun and will only sing songs I have fun doing. So yes I do tons of Sinatra and Dino but... I love all types of music so, you never know what I'll throw in anything from Elvis to Lionel Richie to Andrea Bocelli

Anjelyc Morales: i luv Lionel Richie, my mom raised me on Motown so I tend to want to hear all that kind of music every now and then lol...ooh I'm going to request one next time LOL, put you on the spot :P

Antonio Galloway: hahahahaha if I have the song I'm always happy to do it. If I get enough requests for songs I don't have I will go out and learn it.

Anjelyc Morales: I'll give you advance notice then lol...I like almost anything by him tho lol I want to know how a singer starts to become a performer in SL, I imagine it's quite hard and a bit of a struggle so would you mind telling me a bit about how you got your start?

Antonio Galloway: Sure, be glad too. When I first started SL, I had a lady in my life who was always telling me I needed to sing in SL. She would tell me every chance she got because she believed in me, probably more than I believed in myself. I let it go for nearly two years. I always wanted to do it, but lacked the time to devote to it. This year a few things changed in my RL that opened up some time. Asea, my partner in SL started repeating the same thing I was told before... that I should sing in SL, she kicked my butt a few times. Finally I got the nerve to contact a few people and doors opened up and I got booked into several clubs rather quickly. I wish I would have done this way back when, but I am lucky.

Anjelyc Morales: oh so you haven't been doing this too long then?

Antonio Galloway: No. I am really new to the SL music scene having only started this past Spring.

Anjelyc Morales: Oh wow, that I didn't know I've only heard you once but I thought you were an SL professional! Well thank goodness for that great lady in your life kicking your butt into submission lol. Is there any particular song or request that you would consider a favorite to sing?

Antonio Galloway: Great question, but thats a tough one.

Anjelyc Morales: I figured :D

Antonio Galloway: I'd have to say I have a handful of favorites... and certain songs I get requested nearly each and every performance. I'd have to say either "Can't Help Falling In Love With You", "Besame Mucho" or "Always On My Mind" Those are requested often and I always get a good response from the audience

Anjelyc Morales: I have a good question...I want to know if you have like crazy tv fans...SL groupies? That strikes me as hilariously awesome if it happens

Anjelyc Morales: yes she absolutely does! LOL

Antonio Galloway: Yes, I have some truly amazing people who follow me around. I love them all dearly. There is a small handful that have gotten to know me and I have a lot of fun with from the stage. I've been blessed with great fans but if I had to pick the crazies I'd go with Zin, Twi, Chelle, Asea and Kelly. Those people tend to keep me in stitches. I once mentioned a crush I had on Wonder Woman during a song introduction... and by the time I finished the next song I looked out there and had three women dressed as Wonder Woman. It got me laughing hard.

Anjelyc Morales: LOL omg yeah when Twi and Kelly get together its a gigglefest definitely

Anjelyc Morales: What inspires the songs that you sing, and the way that you sing them? Every song is different, love, fun, happy...yep I'm nosy and want as much dirt as possible. Like for instance, do you think of your lovely lady friend when you sing a love song hehe

Antonio Galloway: I find that certain songs hit certain chords in my life.... being a musician I relate to music very well and certain songs trigger memories good and bad. Sometimes I remember lost love in my own life and that nearly brings me to tears during a song, or maybe remembering a goofy event with my daughter, or laughing with friends and yes certain people tend to respresent songs to me. Even my grandparents or mom and dad have songs that bring them to mind.  Do I sing romantic songs to my lady? The answer would be yeah. LOL

Anjelyc Morales: that's so true, like when people hear a song on the radio even and get all choked up...I imagine its more so for the persons singing them

Antonio Galloway: Absolutely. I relate so much to the words especially since I try and feel those words, I wont just sing a song to sing it.

Anjelyc Morales: If you could explain to someone how it feels for you to sing for an audience, whether in RL or SL how would you describe it?

Antonio Galloway: It's a rush.  Let me explain... yes there is always that touch of nervousness in every performance but I have found I am able to express myself on the stage by just relaxing, having fun and cutting loose. If I laugh it makes the audience remember that and they want to come back because 9 out of 10 times they had fun because I had fun too.

Anjelyc Morales: That's a good answer lol now this is my last question but its hopefully thought provoking lol so take as much time and words as you need to answer it in your own way

 Anjelyc Morales: What do you think everyone in SL can do to further support live entertainment on the grid and keep venues such as Club Jester alive and kicking? What advice would you give all of us music lovers to keep singers like you around...

Antonio Galloway: It's simple but it's probably the MOST overlooked aspect of live music in SL. Its this.... DONATE to the venue. Yes, we singers appreciate your tips to us, however if the audience doesn't support the club then there will be no places for the singers in SL to sing. It costs a lot to keep those doors open. It's why I always encourage the audience several times during a gig to donate to the club. As a singer I have seen clubs disappear because the owners couldn't keep them going. The sad thing is many of those same clubs were always packed. People just didn't donate. The clubs and even the singers aren't doing this to get rich. We do this because we love the music. So if I can leave you with one message... make sure you send love to the clubs. I love Club Jester and the wonderful people in it. Twi, Kelly... those two are amazing people and I want to see this club and all the others survive so we can continue to have wonderful times every week within their doors.

Anjelyc Morales: So true, and I agree the most overlooked. Anywhere else, especially in RL you pay or some kind of cover charge, ticket fee...it's so important to support the venue. Tier fees are no joke on SL lol its like paying RL apartment rent

Sometimes....

Every now and then I wander for no particular reason.  Not really bored, there's usually about 5 things I can do to keep me busy.  Just sometimes...you're in the mood to see what's out there.  I'm a little burnt out on hunts right now, I think and I just wanted to enjoy being in a shop without crossing my eyes looking for a lil bitty something with a prize in it.  Don't get me wrong, freebies rock and when they're good quality like the designer would sell well that's just all kinds of awesome.  But, sometimes its just nice to find something you like - get it and go!  Interestingly enough, these items are a mixture of the two lol.  Go figure.  I went to a sim for 50L Friday and came across Nayar.  Upon looking around, I pretty much liked what I saw bought a skirt and of course, subscribed to the group.  I have a serious subscriber addiction, and I really need to stop.  But I can't!  I'm all filled up on groups and I want so much more!!! Why does there need to be a limit? I digress, can't change the rules by hollerin.  But seriously, half of mine are work related and I am not getting my full group potential out of it with a cutoff point.  Just sayin...

Back to the skirt, there were a few different colors and I opted for this deep blue that almost looks black because its a color I don't have already.  The tee is from !Ohmai, because Anya made me tear up a little by getting rid of a bunch of her !Ohmai basics stuff when she closed her shop down @ Cheesecake.  When I got the boots from COCO, I found several different outfits to wear with them so I didn't have to take them off for about a week.  Luv em!  Aeris turned me into a COCO addict, and I got some ultra cute stuff for my Bday/Rez Day there.  Definitely worth it to stop by and take a look.  Great group gifts also, hello so I'd like to keep it! Ahem...

I have a massive Truth folder in my inventory, and during the last half off sale I got this cutesy hairdo.  Omg can I tell you?  I was cleaning out my inventory again, I do this on a semi-regular basis to keep everything streamlined - you wouldn't believe the notecards you can accumulate, and double lm's.  Anyhow, I found 3 shoes from Truth and I was like omg when'd I get them?  The pair of boots I remember, they were a group gift and I expect the others were also I just can't recall at this time.  During a rather cute, and thankfully short hunt @ the Rue D'Antibes Sim I got this pretty scarf at Zeery's.  Actually, I've been there before and have a few other scarves so the one in the pic is mine, not the hunt item.  Buttt the hunt gift is also very nice.  I got some great gifts with this red seal hunt and it didn't drive me nuts!  Bonus!!  I dunno, this isn't a big huge I need to tell you my whole life blog...just a little something I threw together because hey, why not.  Go check out some shops, buy some things...add to your group spaces and basically...enjoy Second Life!
