Scilla! Similar Footwear's Latest Release

It is an unknown fact that up until last week, Similar Footwear had no open toed styles!  Even the most dedicated customers have never taken notice lol.  There are a few peep toe styles but nothing open completely.  Then, we introduced Scilla.  Scilla is a gorgeous foot, slaved over for weeks by our very own Simone Bonham until it was perfected.  The style of the shoe is a strappy heel on the foot and ankle area, adorned with studs on each.  They are available in Patent Leather in Black, White and Red.  There is also a leather pack of 16 colors that has just been completed as well.  They are scripted to hide or show the side panels around the ankle, and the heels can be silver, gold or the color of your shoe.  All Similar Footwear is scripted for metal parts to have the option for gold or silver with the click of a button to match whatever metals you are wearing any day of the week.  Stop by our Mainstore location anytime and try a demo of these or any of our amazing styles today!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge : Emerald

I was a total slacker last week and didn't get a chance to do the challenge! Bah! But I made sure I did it with time left this time around so that I wouldn't be a loser yet again lol.  So, I was thinking what I would do for emerald and I thought about doing jewelry.  In the end, I got a note card that Elate! is having and anniversary sale and everything is 50% off woohoo!  So I went and bought a bunch of stuff and realized that nothing was emerald colored lol.  HOWEVER! I did have a dress from before that is emerald colored with black lace overlaying it and so I am killing 2 birds with one stone!  Letting everyone know about the sale as well as showing off Kellie Iwish's amazing skills.  My photography skills do her no justice but I'm getting better I promise!  The shoes are of course, from Similar Italian Footwear and this is our newest release...the first open toed style Scilla.  Oh! The poses are from Olive Juice, the subscriber let me know there was a sale and I took friends.  We shut the place down, I think I bought half the store and the other 2 I went with each bought up everything in the shop.  It was craziness lol.  The things we do in SL, I swear...My brand spankin new Curio skin is so fun, I luv the glossy lippers.  Good times lol.  Can't wait to sift through everyone else's emerald looks!!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge : Indigo

Ok so its been a hectic week and i'm super late with this entry lol but! I did finish it days ago lol.  OK! So I did an inventory search for indigo and grabbed the first things I saw LOL totally wrong, I know but omg hecticnesssss.  The dress is from paper.doll, super sweet lil Zoey Gabardini made this super sexy little number and I actually really like the tone of indigo she came up with.  It's called Alexia in Indigo, and the shoes are from Similar Footwear, Roma in White Patent.  The other look is a one last time tribute of sorts lol, being that MYTH is closing at the end of this month [everything is on sale for 30L ladies & gents!!] I thought I'd take it on home with the MYTH High Rise Jean Skirt in Indigo, paired with !Ohmai's Basic Boyfriend Racerback in White.  The hair in both looks is Rina in Black from Artilleri, and the skin is from cStar.  Like a good little blogger, allow me to let you know about the poses as well lol.  They are from Pretzel Poses, part of the Superfriends pack that I just randomly tinkered with and used the poseballs I wanted to make up the picture lol.  Is Pretzel Poses still around? I have a few...I might be doing a search in a minute here!  Anyway, I was looking at other blogs and we are kickin butt!  So many awesome pictures and new places to check out.  Looking forward to weeks and colors to come!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Sienna

In all actuality, I don't know if this qualifies as Sienna?  I saw it and thought it was cute, then also I was having a hard time finding anything Sienna and I'm really a sucker for a good deal so I got it and thought well...it's close!  There's no color description for it but I thought the jacket and tights were a close match lol.  This whole blog happened in a quite humorous way and allow me to tell you my journey!  I got a subscriber message stating that Riddle [which I didn't remember] was a part of Designer's Showcase [which I had never heard of].  It was a whole outfit, and the picture looked cute so I went.  Dude, it really was only 99L and in my opinion I thought it went well with the color sienna...although in hindsight, I might have photoshopped the picture too dark - my bad.  So, I went to try the outfit on and I ended up looking like this.  Felt like shopping some more so I went to YunA's to check out the new hair styles and never even did it.  I got all caught up in messing with her Glitterati hall outside the shop in the TP area that I randomly ended up taking some pictures there and viola...blog done!  Weird right? Such is my SL lol.  It was fun thought, and I definitely like this hallway and all of the fun poses it has inside of it.  Had a blast, once again!  What's next weeks color again? Bah!

I shed a tear...

I also packed up my stalker kit because Aeris is closing MYTH! So I had a moment of despair, followed by anger [this is when I got my stalker box together] and now just a little sadness about all the memories on SL with MYTH involved. It's like the end of an era! My first lindens were spent on Mythology's Denim Skirt & Black Corset set and I wore it with pride! A few months later, there was a group notice and sign stating that Mythology was looking for a group manager. I had absolutely no experience with anything, but I wanted to learn everything I could about SL. So, even though I thought there was no way I would get it I applied for the job. Maybe no one else did, because I got it! LOL and I was so excited to learn everything that I could absorb working with a designer. Aeris was totally sweet and showed me exactly what I was to do, and even gave me some clothes from the store. I wore them everyday, always decked out in Mythwear lol. Thinking back, I was nervous because my acct had been active awhile but I was still learning due to not having used the account for almost a year after signing up for it so people's expectations may have been way higher than I was prepared to know.  Intimidating isn't the word when I found out I had actually got the job, but she made it all soo easy for me and took the time to explain anything I wanted to know. I diligently performed my tasks everyday, hoping to prove myself the right person for the job even though I had no experience to date lol. Lemme tell ya, I got good lol. And slowly we talked more, not just about the shop but other things and one day...we were friends! Now I still harass her in IM and she still runs away from me to her 2 million alts, not to mention she's one of the few people on SL with a tab in my profile. So with all that history, as well as having gone through the countless changing of store locations, the transition from Mythology to MYTH and now the demise of it all I can't help but be a bit sad about it. No more MYTH! Excuse me, I think I have something in my eye...

Anywayyyy...I made her sit her pixels down and explain herself to me...and explain she shall!

OK, so right off the bat everyone wants to know...why would u go and break my heart like this?

Aeris : Its what I do, I break hearts.... really though, months had passed by before I had made anything and I had no desire to continue making stuff and the brand I had worked so hard to build had been fading out in a sad way, of course, because of my own neglect.

What made you decide this was the time?

Aeris : I had originally wanted to do it back in October, that's when I closed down all of my satellite shops and when I began telling people (friends, etc). But *someone* not naming names (anjelyc morales!) kept being a drama queen about it all so I dragged my feet a little bit. I figured I can start the new year out with a change.

See how I always get blamed? UNREAL! Anyway, let's not dwell on who's dramatic right now *ahem* how do you feel about this being the end of MYTH?

Aeris : A little bit like when leaving summer camp. Your happy to go home but you will miss all of the friends you made. Its kind of a huge relief to be done with it, and when I sent that final notice it was a weight off my shoulders.

What kind of sale prices are all the MYTH lovahs going to have to look forward to?  Well I'll answer that since Aeris took forever and a day to answer all of my questions.  You are looking at EVERYTHING in the store @ a mere 30L!  I mean really...I'm buying things I already have all over again at that price! K let's get back to the questions lollllll

Do you think somewhere down the line you will decide to design again?

Aeris : Meh, I dunno. I'm not super anxious to start a clothing venture. I definitely do need to do SOMETHING as my creative outlet. I'm looking around to see if I can hire my skills on a contractual basis. Like creating an outfit here or there for an already established brand. or doing templates and tutorials. I guess I'll just see what I come up with next. I'm sure it will be something lol.
If you do, will it be MYTH again? Or will you move on from this chapter in your SL...

Aeris : I will DEFINITELY NOT be reopening it. This is it, for good. You won't see MYTH coming back 2 months or 2 years from now.

Was I the best store manager ever in Second Life?

Aeris : What? I had a manager? lol kidding!!! You were awesome, whenever I came to the store you'd be there and it was like coming home to a hot cooked meal! BAHAHA. I miss those days lol.

What can I say...I'm pretty awesome lol.  Now...what is the single most bestest ever memory about your time designing MYTH-wear?

Aeris : That time we ran around naked in the store, or we did, you just took pictures and gawked at our pasty bodies lol.

Run tell dat lol, I sure did stay on the sidelines because hispanic people know better than to get involved in the gringo craziness.  We sit on the side and shake our heads while recording the moment.  Holla for having evidence and keeping it.

You lasted for years now, with your own niche on the grid and you did pretty well.  Now that this is the end, do you feel like there is something that designers or future designers need to know about running a business in SL?

Aeris : I didn't want to go out without giving a small bit of advice to people who want to make clothing and open their own store in SL, or maybe who already have one. The three things I wished someone had told me before

1. Never pay for magazine advertisements or any ads besides your classified.  If you decide to anyways just don't spend to much. I've spend hundreds of thousands of L$ for almost every magazine out there and they never pay off, not even a little bit.

2. 99% of the time satellite stores are useless. The most you can hope for are getting new subscribers but for sales? Yeah you'll be lucky to break even. Split profits are good but just remember not to neglect them. I've rented at hundreds of malls, districts, outlets, clubs, etc. whatever you name it. I can count on one hand how many of those paid off and most of those aren't even around anymore.

3. Get a store manager! Don't try to do it yourself! if you can't afford to pay them, give them a commission off of every sale. Otherwise 80% of your time you will be managing hunts, ads, mall requests, FAQ's, bloggers, events, contests, your marketplace store, and all that good stuff that will get your name out there. So you can imagine how insanely large your friends list will get and how easily your IM's will get capped. have your store manager handle all of that for you. Then you can concentrate on doing what you love, making stuffs! Oh and if your photography skills leave something to be desired, try to hire professional photographers whenever possible to photograph your vendor displays! TRUST!
Almost everyone has something to contribute here, so if you think your designs aren't as good as whats popular right now, who cares! A skill worth knowing is one that takes time to build. And last but not least, hold your real friends close, the other ones would sooner throw you to the dogs faster then you can say "free clothes".

She is young, she is wise...and she's pretty cute too if I do say so myself in a non-lesbanim kind of way [she wants more but I fight her off]!  MYTH is going, but it's going out with a bang.  I hope for all of you out there that have never even heard of it go on down and grab a little something.  She was a designer for men and women so guys, don't think you're left out here!  Stop on down and say goodbye to an amazing label that I quite honestly can say I was truly honored to be a part of.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge : Silver

Is it weird that I know I have a bunch of things in my inventory that are silver and still found myself at a loss?  I think my mind was lost on New Year's Day, hopefully I get that back soon because I kind of miss it!  I was skin digging today, trying out a new look and came up with the idea to do a skin set that I have had for awhile and only photographed once before but never blogged for some unknown reason.

Although I've never done it, I know that role play is huge in SL and when this skin first came out I had no idea what it was.  Everyone was raving about it, and I went to see it and well...chick was silver.  Dark silver and shiny-ish with elf ears.  I didn't get it and duh me, I sure didn't ask.  A few days later in the group chat, I found out what it is!  Elf RP has ages, and the older a female elf is the more silver her skin becomes.  Also, that she is called a Drow hence the name of the skin.  I find that totally fascinating, but it was only a weekend thing.  I had missed the sale and thought there was no other way to be able to get it so I was asking the group if I could photograph someone that had bought the set when the owner, Oceane was nice enough to let me have the skin.  She made the special Drow skin, eyes and ears and they are available for purchase at her shop.  In addition, she has release several other Drow skins with body tattoo's and facial embellishments for a certain pretty little accent that may be a bit different from a normal one and set you apart.  I don't wear it much but I'm sure glad I remembered I had it for this challenge.  I once again stayed away from writing my normal clothing blog and I had a good time with it!  I used a couple's pose by Glitterati and edited out the man part because I didn't need it but I liked the legs up in the air thang.  The hair is by YunA and yay this time I remembered to grab the white to match the eyebrows lol.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge : Green

This is pretty festive, being that the holidays are all about the red & green huh!  Okay so once again, I did a little collage but all the green is from the same place!  Okay let the rambling begin, got to explain all this somehow lol.

The best time for me is finding a new great store to check out.  New designers are scratchin away trying to be noticed on the grid so I try to do my part to help them out if I can.  All of this lovely green is from a new store called The GrINd.  It's got alot of variety, a new endeavor from Callie Giordano.  She is the former owner of the great jewelry store Freckled Funk, trying a little something new and in my opinion doing a great job!  The first look is a new release, the Penny Grunge Top.  Look at all the cleavage it highlights! lol...there are a bunch of awesome colors and cute little prim buttons you can add to it or leave off - totally your choice.  The second look highlights the Green Punk Pants from The GrINd.  It comes with those suspenders, and prim cuffs at the bottom.  The pants also come in a variety of colors and I have to say my favorite is the light colored net pants.  Super sexy and toosh huggin, and the suspenders are a really nice addition too.  The last look is the short tweed dress, which can be worn with or without the shirt layer on the top.  Without, its a cute mini suspender-ed dress with a teeeeenie bit of nip showing *gasp!* and then there are a variety of shirt colors available to wear as well.  The socks come with the dress, in 2 layers and with cutesy little prim bows on each side.  Lovely little chick in the picture is Vanity Mirror, the manager at The GrINd and they are looking for interested bloggers to stop by and check the store out, see if there's something you would like to feature!  Let her know, she can hook ya up!!

This picture isn't mine, but it's an ad picture from the store that I borrowed for the blog.  I'm all over the green, Luna!! I was prepared for this one hehe. Take a trip down to The GrINd and see what kind of trouble you can get into!  These challenges are going to get hard again soon aren't they...

52 Weeks of Color Challenge : Cerise

Christmastime is soooo hectic!  I've been working my festively dressed pixels off trying to blog so many things, as well as take care of my everyday responsibilities in SL as well as life itself.  Now, although Cerise is not technically pink I have to say my inventory is not really riddled with pink-like shades such as this.  So I went on a mini shopping spree!  As a blogger on a budget, I was off in search of the super cute and affordable to bring my A-GAME to this challenge.

While I was working, earning my shopping lindens lol I saw a woman come in shoe shopping and I liked her hair.  So, being a nosy type I inspected it and saved the creator's name for later.  Sold some b*tchin shoes, helped some customers and was generally being awesome! LOL afterwards, I searched the name I had stored away and TP'd to her mainstore.  The name of the store was Artilleri, and I fell in love.  My outfit is a few pieces from there although you know as well as I that I just went to check out the hair.  I got that, and the glasses lol the cardigan which is sooo cute! Also, the loverly skirt that I thought matched the color on Luna's blog pretty dang well!  Artilleri is filllllled with all kinds of amazing goodies and I would advise anyone that hasn't yet been to definitely go check it out.  It is very retro vintage incredibleness, so if you are into that at all you must must check out this store.

My shoes are of course from my wonderful workplace, Similar Italian Footwear.  This is the Venezia, which I have in the 16 color pack and I chose the maroon shade to go with my outfit ta-daaa lol.  The tank underneath all of that Artilleri wear is a simple black tank from {paper.doll} which I love, comes in all layers and really is the perfect go-to tank when you need a little layer affect.  The pose is from my loverly new friend Milli Santos, posemaker extraordinaire of NSA - No Strings Attached.  It is the 'Song in my heart' set and the mic is included for both hands with poses inside of them.  I had a lot of fun with this one, I must say.  I even searched for a Christmas cerise background and this pretty lil ornament came up.  All in all I'd call it a success!  Hope you all have an amazing holiday <3 see ya next challenge!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge : Yellow

Alright...this ended up being much harder than I originally anticipated lol.  Apparently, I imagined my inventory was much more riddled with sunny shades of yellow than it actually is.  I got through it though, and actually had fun doing it once again.  Plus side, I didn't scramble on the last day to post something! Go meeeee yippeeeeeee (you have to say it to yourself in a sing-songy voice).

Okay so, first off the DeeTaleZ Sports Outfit comes in alot of colors, and I just happened to have gotten yellow so yay!  I also wore my CStar Skin from september because she has awesome yellow lips and I am so all about the matching.  I just got that hair from Magika and I luvz it lots, its super cute and I don't wear short styles often.  The socks are from Modd.G, which I love that shop is so adorable.  Sneaks are by Truth, from Hair Fair 09 I think...don't quote me on that thought!  The next one, ok I was checking on my horses LOL and I thought to myself I said 'Self!  What clothing do you have that horsey types would like?'  So I dug out my MYTH Plaid top and of course, there was a yellow! Yippeeeee then the blonde hair is like eeeek I'm so rarely blonde but I wanted more yellow lol.  The star lolli in the mouth is from Pink Fuel and changes a bunch of colors.  The skin is soo pretty, I got it while I was attempting the With Love From...hunt @ Glam Affair.  Boots are from COCO, I luvz me a group that gives kick ass gifts hehe.  The last look is actually fairly new, I went to see the new collection @ The Dressing Room and got that cutesy skirt there.  It's by A&A Fashion, which I don't think I had heard of before but I like the skirt lots.  The skin is amazing, with yellow and red accenting on it that I wish now I would have captured closer up.  It's by [sYs] and its simply incredible.  Hair is Truth, no shirt to mention LOL and the boots are Bax!  All of my nifty poses are by Glitterati, I was super honored to be chosen as one of the names added to Katey's blogger list.  The poses are from the model pack, and look forward to many more Glitterati poses in the future.  I know I know...I used them a bunch before anyway lol.  By the way, I know the backround doesn't go at all but I was taking the pics on my land and thinking its so snowy here I look out of place.  That made me laugh, so I kept the theme going...don't judge me!

This wasn't originally part of my blog, but I had to add it.  This house is one of many adorably well made little homes by nordari.  I love the items there, and I was just like O M G YELLOW!  So I took a picture of it because it goes, and I wanted to share!  These challenges sure bring out my creative side on occasion, so I look forward to continuing to do them and meeting amazing new bloggers in the process!  Not new to blogging per say, just new to me :D

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Sepia

Okay! I've even got as close as I can to sepia font to make up for the fact that I totally caught a space out on Sepia! *LOL*  I searched my inventory, tp'd to all kinds of stores and even looked through marketplace a bit.  I gotta say I found a fantastic pair of eyes on there, sepia tone with a heart in the center.  Too cute lol, but I digress because I didn't get them!  I remembered way back when I was a avi out on my own, looking for a really awesome skin to own I found Rockberry.  I still have and wear on occasion several of my Rockberry skins and this one I've never had the chance to properly show off until now!

This is the Rockberry Character Skin.  It is created in the sepia tone, to have that old school photograph feeling and I thought it was a really awesome idea.  Truth be told, I never had the instance to use it and I'm so glad I remembered I had it!  The backround stuff, I edited to match the skin because it looked really funky with the actual colors.  The yellow for next week might be insanely easier to handle LOL...I think I have a gray hair now.

The Snowflake Experience

On a rare occasion, just being known as a blogger will put me in the midst of somewhere I definitely want to be. Before I get into that, let me take you back aways...I was about 15 years old and my older brother was being recruited into the Marines. My parents were divorced and it was just the 5 of us, four kids and a loving mom. Of course, we do the best we can and thats all that you can do to survive. The Marine recruiter came to visit us a few times at our home and surprised us all the day before Christmas Eve by bringing a few little gifts courtesy of Toys for Tots. I was a bit old for that by then, but I was given a big stuffed bear which I thought was cute. My little brother and sister were so happy that it made a big difference to our holiday season. This is what the Toys for Tots means to me. One year, they brought smiles to my family for Christmas and I can never forget that.

The Snowflake Experience, starting December 4th is raising money to support the Toys for Tots charity. 62 designers have come together to donate creations, with the proceeds going to the charity. We are hoping to raise 5,000 USD to give to the children, and I sincerely hope you can all come out and support this amazing organization. For more information, please visit http://www.toysfortots.org/ and read up!

Now, it's only right for me to show you a little sneak preview of what you can find hehe.  There are so many amazing things to show, I hope I get a chance to showcase them all.  This first look was a hoot, I mean really! Long  johns! How friggin adorable is that lol, created by Zoey Gabardini for The Snowflake Experience.  I went with the child-like look because it seemed a bit cute and of course, it IS to benefit the children.  I did wear them as my normal avatar also, yep I did and just as cutesy I might add.  All the excitement of Christmas for children and adults alike, in one little picture!  They come in the blue, with the snowflake pattern or the red & green striped design.  Stop by the paper.doll exhibition and support the kids!  Ah to be young again...

This next photo is a small preview of the great sweaters available via [aRAWRa].  I went with the patterned sweater because it was fun and festive.  It is a great gray color with black accents and it is snug and warm.  Perfect for hitting those snowy sims with your favorite pair of jeans, new snazzy boots and a smexy snow partner!  I've been re-assessing my inventory, which I have let get out of control while blogging all of these events lol and I came across this hair again.  I like it I think I'll keep it! Usually, I'm more of a long hair type person being that I just like long hair [RL also] but its very bouncy.  Not positive, but I think I picked it up at Hair Fair.  Check out this and lots of other goodies available from [aRAWRa] @ The Snowflake Experience.  IT'S FOR THE KIDS! COME ON DOWN!!

And finally, for my preview extravaganza...a little pretty from ~* INDIE ROSE *~.  This is the Dita Corset Dress in Teal [I know, hard to see the color with that kinda pic but hey it's a preview! Go see it!].  It is also available in black, as well as alot of other goodies to choose from.  The pillow comes with the pose and it is from {what next} subscriber group. So this is what you all do, tomorrow you go down to The Snowflake Experience...walk around and shop a little!  You go home with some amazing pressies and you help a beautiful charity for the sweetest people made...children.  I truly hope you stop by!  My donation jar is located @ my job, Similar Italian Footwear if anyone would like to give a small linden gift!  There will of course be jars out at the event, so feel free to donate there as well!

52 Weeks of Color Challenge : Plum

The lovely and talented Anya Ohmai told me today about the 52 Weeks of Color Challenge that was created by Luna Jubilee.  It is currently in it's 4th week and I was immediately interested in joining the fun.  It seems like a totally creative way to blog as well as joining together with other bloggers to see what we all come up with.  In addition, I think it will help me to just be a better blogger all around.  We can all be exposed to brands that we aren't familiar with, and broaden our SL horizons!

This week's color is plum and I was frantic because I don't really wear many shades of purple.  It happens to be my sister's favorite color, and even she doesn't wear it much.  I thought and thought about it and I initially wanted to do a Plum Bedroom scene but I couldn't really find anything I liked.  So I went with what I know...clothes!  The shirt is from paper.doll, and it is "Imagine" in Plum.  The leggings are also paper.doll, WildThing in Amethyst.  The foot laces are from Scribble, and they are purple as well.  Fhang Candy made the skin I'm wearing, which has a light purple makeup palette.  The hair is Truth and I colored the headband purple although it's not quite that easy to see with the pose I chose.  NSA created this pose that I thought went wonderfully, as I wanted to seem like I was skipping freely through purple grass.  Nifty that I found purple grass, huh.  Had a blast on my first try for the Challenge...can't wait to see what we have to come up with next!

Thank you Anya! <3 And also Luna Jubilee for thinking this up!

Love it when...

Every now and then the SL Gawds will stick you in the right place at the right time.  In the midst of all my Thanksgiving baking, (btw I hope everyone that celebrates had a fantastic one!) I signed on to make sure I was up on all my 5 million things to do everyday.  I was sifting note cards, and as many subscribers as I'm on I have at least 8 every time I sign on.  Crazy right?  Alot of the time they're doubles because I've been offline all day, and sometimes I just know I don't need them and poof there they go.  Do you see how I start to ramble and completely get off topic? Anyway, I hesitated but ended up opening a note card for another hunt.  Slightly burnt out on hunts now, I tried to prove to myself I could finish one which I kind of did I think but that was only because it wasn't very big lol.  Well, I hadn't been to the shop in awhile and it was a hunt that you pay for the items not a free one so I tend to like those a bit more.  They have nicer items, and less fighting for the items than when they are free hehe.  I got an adorable dress from SwanSong for 10L and then my attention diverted and I just started roaming around the sim.  There was a large building with a name I had never heard of, so I swishy-walked right over there and checked it out.  The name was Peqe, and it said formerly Fume which I had also never heard of.  I was in a slight state of shock and dismay, because looking around I could tell I liked the designs of the shop and only finding it now I could only agonize on what I had missed in the past.

This dress caught my eye right away from the texture, to the cut and style but can we talk about the shape of the shoulders? LOVE. How delish is that back? And of course it goes fantastical with my Similar Footwear. The dress itself has a pretty kind of glowy shine to it that is thankfully not over the top and latex looking as well as the super femme waist bow. What can I say? I like it! There were so many more items that I wish I could have added to the story but I am a poor blogger on a tight SL budget lol. I couldn't resist purchasing these though, just to give you guys a taste of this amazing new find. I want to add so you all know that there were ankle boots that matched the dresses, and another style of this kind of dress was White Croc, and there were MATCHING BOOTS. Ugh, you have no idea how hard it was to TP out of there with a few lindens intact.

Now that I look at it, I didn't really show off the fact that I was wearing two different skirts. But, hey I'll let you all know now it was a flat mini and a prim frilly [yep, thats how I describe them] and I like them both! Again, rockin my Similar Footwear lol [shameless plug] and I love the lace in the top and black and white rose skirt. It is so girly and cute, I mean how can you not love how you look in a dress like that?? In addition, Peqe is part of the With Love From...hunt and I got a cute little Tartan Red Plaid dress that I haven't had the time yet to snap a photo in. Take a moment and stop by, seriously I have at least 5 more outfits in my head that I want to get at some point. One of course being that White Croc dress and boots, and there was a Peacock Feather Skirt, or tank dress or mini dress also and they are all adorable! There are tops, pants, everything! Go right now and then show me what you couldn't live without *lol*

{paper.doll} re-opens!

So, in all actuality it wasn't closed very long BUT now that it's re-opened there are some new designs that are so totally femme and cute, with such amazing attention to detail. This particular little look I created is with the lovely Hannah Sweater dress which can also be worn as a long sweater if your pants/leggins are available in undie layers which paper.doll does!   I found this shop awhile back and I've blogged it before but not really to this degree.  There was always a lil something from paper.doll that I added to a picture or something like that.  Right here, right now I'll let you all know that I love this shop.  The owner is a sweetheart, total doll face and works so hard to make clothing that has both quality as well as some of the most well done sexy type women's clothing I've seen.  It is so easy to make a mini-dress look...what's the word...I'm gonna go with hoochie but I've actually worn some of them [which I never do, really] and lurv'd them!  The colors, the styles, and the new overall look of the shop is worth the TP over.  And can I just say if you have never been, and you don't go?  I'll have to find you and drag you there myself.  I can do it too, I have magical powers in SL!

I've been having a lot of fun mixing and matching new items, perhaps too much but I digress.  The thing I didn't notice until I was editing pictures was that this shirt is slightly translucent and I could totally see my nips.  It's not really something you notice right away though if that helps any *LOL* but I love the Imagine tee's and I'm going to continue to wear them.  I love these Spencer pants, I have to say.  I have every color and I will wear at least one every week!   I recommend going down and at the very least subscribing to the group.  There will be some more new releases next week, wonderful Christmas themes and some new jeans.  Alsooooo I've been harassing Zoey horridly to make some things that I happened to have in my head so I'm looking forward to the release of those as well.  You will really want to check them out...why you say? Because it's me! Well, me and Zoey lolll we all know I can't make a thang.

This would totally be an example of the mini-dresses that are so adorable that you can't help but wear.  The off the shoulder style coupled with the button detailing on the sleeves make Jordyn ooh so glamorous and casual at the same time.  If you really feel its a bit too much toosh to show, you can of course always slap on some leggings and call it a fab day.  It has a really nice shimmer type thing going on and I think the grey one in the picture is my favorite one...plus it looks really great with my shoes! I would imagine it could be worn possibly as a shirt layer if you wear the tucked in look as well.  Things like that pop into my head, I like to get the most out of my clothes lol I'm a thrifty avi.

Okay now, I don't like this backround anymore but I wanted to get this blog posted lol.  This shirt is my favorite thing, mostly because I know Zoey was thinking about me when she made it.  She doesn't have to say it...I just know.  It's called 'Fly' and its awesome;  the wings on the front because I am so angelic [mhm check the name lol], and all the amazing colors that it comes in as well as the smexy appeal cuz this one's kinda see thru also hehe but a lil more masked because of the wing detail on the chest.  The leggings in the picture are a new paper.doll release as well!  They come in a variety of amazing vibrant jeweled colors with an edge.  They are called WildThing Leggings and in retrospect I should have put some brighter colors on hehe.  My bad!  Those are black and dark blue, shiny and adorable!

Someone find me a drum to roll, last but not least we have this loverly dress Alexia that has an amazing circle cutout back and the sweetheart neckline in the front with a zipper accent.  One of my favorite RL things to wear is shirts and sweaters with long sleeves that cover about half of my hand.  I don't know why I like it, but I do and this dress has a glove layer that does just that.  Can I also just mention that I think I saw Zoey put up a picture in the shop of the top of this dress coupled with the Spencer pants or perhaps a pair of jeans.  At any rate, I love the variety with all of these pieces and I am silently praying that all of this crazed rambling I'm doing has given some of you the motivation to stop on by and look at some super girly stuff!  OTR...Zoey Gabardini is an amazing designer and should have a place in your second life...well at least your inventory!

Giovanni: You look fine how you normally are

Anjelyc: sheesh...perdoname for tryin somethin new lol

Nowadays, everyone is all about the tattoo layer makeup.  It is popping up everywhere, in skin shops and even in clothing shops!  I was...I think I was working and dodging group notices here and there when somehow I came across a listing for a sim that supposedly looks like Manhattan.  Being a NY'er I got all excited and wanted to see what it looked like as well as how it resembled the real deal.  So I patiently played tug of war with the time clock and when it was time to leave, I punched out and TP'd right over to this sim.  I landed in a shop, but I didn't know it was a shop right away being that everything was so gray.  Apparently alot of work went into that sim so I was excited to wander around a little bit and check out the build, as well as the shops on the sim.  We all know I can't resist an impromptu shopping spree.

So, once the shop started to rez I saw a box with lips on it. It was for tat layer lipstick and it was like...I don't know...60L maybe? I can't remember for sure and my viewer is acting up right now so I can't check. Not that I would...well I might. Anyway, I've become somewhat obsessed with finding a skin for myself that has that perfect dark red lip for the smoldering latina evening look lol. Yep, that's what I call it! As of now, I haven't found it and I am still looking but these tattoo layers could be the answer to my prayers. I have a bunch of skins that I love love LOVEEE but the lips aren't dark red. Pinks, yep and nudes oh I've got a bunch. I love the dark smokey eye with the nude lip look. I even go for it in RL, so I went a tad overboard with that. I just want one skin to have the tone I'm looking for and I can end this madness once and for all! *LOL* As for the tattoo layers, I haven't found the shade of red I'm looking for as of now so I hope to randomly come across it and excitedly tell you all about it.

Once I had rezzed, I realized I was in a shop that was specifically created to make and sell tattoo layered makeups! There is a definite variety of the genre you can just delve right in and make yourself at home putting together a million looks right there in your head lol.  Some of them weren't really what I would call my style, but I know alot of models out there love the extreme fierce look and the dark makeup or dramatic colors.  I have to say the variety is really what stuck with me.  So, even though I am completely overrun with the amount of groups I have I joined this one also.  I don't think I'll be leaving it, to be honest.  The owner is super nice, chats with the group and asks opinions of her customers.  She has started making skins, all the skins and layer makeups in the pictures here are hers.

In the 3 days that I have been a member of the group I think she's sent out 3 or 4 gifts.  At least 2 have been skins from the new line she is working on!  I've never been in a group like that before haha, but it's totally fun and everyone is polite...the gifts are awesome.  I bought a fantastic layer makeup called 'The Clone' that comes in black & white in the same box and its such a shame I refuse to use V2 [so hard! waaaah] because they are 2 part face tats and I can't wear it yet!  I hope TPV's can allow us that also because I'd really enjoy showing it off!

Soooo have I kept you waiting long enough? Hehe...the name of the shop is Elegant Epiffany and it is owned by Bubble Faintree!  For the Budget Impaired on SL, she has gatcha available and also lucky chair.  Group members can participate in Midnight Madness or...is that what it's called? I think so!  There is a group gift at the shop, and like I said random one's via the group itself.  I'd recommend joining if you enjoy wearing the makeup layers.  It's a great, affordable new little place with enough different styles that anyone can find something they'd enjoy! And at some point I have to go back...because I never did check out the rest of that sim build...

Just a little of what I like to call my "RandomAHcity"

Well, lately I've been quite the thrifty avi.  I've abstained from shopping semi-crazily like usual, thinking ooh I can blog this and I can blog that and of course, using some of it but really not blogging most of it lol.  So, my inventory is overflowing with clothing I don't wear anymore and things I've not worn yet which is so not me!  I actually have a folder of things I meant to open and totally forgot about.  Seriously...it's becoming a sickness.  So, in the wake of Shocktoberfest and The Call for Couture and the multitude of clothing I got for these events I started thinking that I should just run through the things I have and see what I can showcase.  I will of course put up pics on occasion of things you can't get anymore and you will cry but I will be willing and somewhat able to let you cry on my shoulder.  Just for a bit though, cuz ya gotta get over it at some point!  These two looks OMG I was in awe of the shortness of the skirt from MonS but I know alot of females embrace the short short stuff and the ultra sexy look so I wanted to let everyone know that MonS has a 50L store and that is where this outfit is from.  For 50L you get 3 colors, top and skirt!  It's unheard of but true...I got them!  I also got a super cute top with ruffles that has a lil belly showing and that came with 4 colors for 50L.  Amazing right?  The second look I actually just got, it was a group freebie from ::Hucci:: and I love the fall color and argyle look to it.  And the sexy sprinkled in with the length of the sweater dress.  Both looks are paired with my Sim-I-Lar Footwear because they are my new favorite thing to wear, any style the shoes are incredible and affordable!  If you haven't gone, you must and then post your pics on Flickr!  My poses are from NSA - No Strings Attached.  I really can't say enough about the poses that Milli makes...she's just awesome and makes some totally creative stuff!  The hair is from Truth, of course.  I spent far too much L$ there...dagnabit, that Truth Hawks...

While I was hangin out in my yard, I got the silly notion to take a picture with the things I had bought about 20 minutes beforehand.  I copped a squat on my nifty folding chair and showed off my 50L Friday Reek Boots that Aeris bought for me because she was appauled that I would contemplate a 50L purchase.  I see where she was goin with that but the eye rolling was unnecessary.  We were talking in IM and yes, I can tell when she rolls her eyes at me!  The skirt is an oldie but goodie from DeeTaleZ that I love, and will some day go back and get the other styles of and the top with orange jacket is a sweet lil find from The Dressing Room.  It's a great deal made by R.icielli and I don't have to wear the jacket with just the tee!  It's 2 pieces which means yay :)  and the chair....ummm the chair I got as a gift from MudHoney!  The colaborations with MudHoney and Glitterati are some really awesome stuff and this chair has 9 poses in it which is pretty nifty if I do say so myself...and I do!

I don't really have one. Most of the things I blog, I purchased. I am always honored if someone enjoys my writing enough to send me an item to add to the blog. When I have the time to do so, I certainly will. I do alot of events blogging and work so sometimes it does take a bit and I apologize for that! Thank you in advance for thinking of me.
